**BandLab Basics - Creating and Playing a Drum Groove**
ASSIGNMENT
- Use the Drum Groove Organizer to map out a 4-measure drum beat composition using eighth note subdivisions. If you want more of a challenge, feel free to create a 4-measure composition using either eighth note triplet or sixteenth note subdivisions.
- Record your drum groove in BandLab as described in the video (or, if you have a MIDI keyboard, you may use it as your input device).
- Create a one note bass line to go along with your drum groove. Start by using the One Note Bass Line Organizer to plan bass lines for each of the 3 types of bass line/kick drum relationships indicated on the organizer. Then, create a new track and record one of the bass lines you've created. Record using your mouse, the keyboard on your computer, or a MIDI keyboard.
- Submit both the organizer and the URL to your composition (drum groove and bass line) in Canvas by the due date.
